
Mission:
To provide students with an opportunity to give back to the community and provide a platform for guest speakers to share with us about science in our community.
Grade / Class Criteria:
•
Junior or Senior who has a general unweighted GPA of 3.0 and a science unweighted GPA of 3.5
•
Sophomores can apply at the end of the school year and officially join in the fall of their junior year
•
GPA will be checked twice a year
•
If placed on academic probation, students have one marking period to recover their GPA
Community Service Hours:
•
Complete 6 hours of community service
Four hours must be science-specific
Annual Dues:
•
$10.00
Meeting Attendance:
•
Attend at least 75% of all meetings during the year
•
Attend all guest speaker presentations during the year unless given prior approval to be absent
